A Day of Hiking with Karen

Karen and I used to have many outdoor adventures together, but lately we don't get the opportunity to spend too much time in each others company.  I realize that my biggest challenge in learning to live in Joshua Tree is the ever-present feeling of missing my friends.  I used to have quite the social life in San Diego and have had a harder time finding people to enjoy the great outdoors with here in the high desert.  Thankfully I have made a few new friends (including Shauna!), but it was SO nice to actually have a one-on-one day with Karen recently.  I decided to take us into Johnny Lang Canyon and beyond!
